On my "Meet Me" page, I describe myself as this: mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, designer. Today, I would like to add another title please: WARRIOR. Last weekend, I had the privilege to attend the She's Brave Conference here in Charlotte featuring Glennon Doyle Melton, founder of momastery.com, as the key note speaker. She was AMAZEBALLS. If you haven't read her book, Carry On, Warrior, do yourself a favor and order it. Now. She is a brave and hilarious writer who speaks so authentically and truthfully about women, marriage, kids, and how to embrace your messy, BRUTIFUL life - a term she coined which I just absolutely love! Life is equal parts brutal and beautiful: brutiful. Although when it seems more brutal than beautiful she reminds us that...
I was so happy to share this experience with 3 other warriors in my tribe who I feel so blessed to call my friends and sisters. They are all fighting such a good fight, every day, and inspire me with their resilience, great fashion sense, ventriloquism (long story), laughter, libations, and bravery.
So thank you Glennon, Elizabeth, Catherine, Stephanie, Eileen, and to all women struggling each day to be a warrior in their own lives.
Carry on, friend.
With Love from Me to Hue,
Jackie
